"Jenn, your Ayn Rand books for your English class arrived".

"Can I pick them up"?

"Not yet...".

Is it just my delusion or is this grey striped race the most relaxed cat race of all? We have many of them in old Germany and they are always the most thankful, relaxed fondle consumers. I think, it's european shorthair.

“Bear” is blending in nicely.

This is the late Sandy. The second photo was taken on his last day, about a month ago.

Sandy had numerous health problems — orthopedic, neurological, renal — and had been in decline for well over a year. But he wasn’t in pain, and I figured that for as long as his vote would be to stick around, I would honor that. I took his eventual refusal to take food and water as a vote to the contrary.

I loved him. I’m not at all embarrassed to acknowledge that I still cry over losing him.

And no shame in shedding some tears for your friend. Seven years down the road and I’m still missing my girl.
