Is that what happened to his feathers?

I have a Milo & Oscar sub-plot working in my mind.
No, one day he took exception to the attention my Springer Spaniel was receiving and proceeded to "barber" himself; that is, to nip off a lot of his breast feathers. Most have since grown back. Last night he and I celebrated his 10th birthday, and he was all happy. Tonight, he was Oscar the Grouch. Must be getting into character for Friday's WONK episode. lol

I haven't got an electronic picture handy, but the joy of my life is my Birman cat Claire. She was a rescue kitty and I'm so glad to have been able to provide her with a good home. I'm really surprised that Birmans aren't a more celebrated breed; they are sweet, gentle, doggishly loyal, strongly people-bonding, perfect companion animals.

I'm an animal person, which all animals I encounter seem to recognize. :) I had a wonderful border collie/Aussie shepherd mix named Cooper for many years. Among my other favorite pets have been rabbits named Roger and Snowball, a ferret named Tommy, a baby raccoon named Randy, and a cockatiel named Piper.

Bill the Cat.

A few days ago, my brother brought home a very sad, skinny and bedraggled-looking, but extremely friendly cat, with the intent of saving him. If you've ever seen Bill the Cat from the Bloom County comic strip, you know what this poor cat looked like. After bathing him, he took the cat to the vet to learn what he could about him. Turns out the guy was about fifteen years old and had cancer and full-blown feline aids! He had to be put down. :(

That is sad. He died loved and well-cared for. On a lighter note, seems like he had a full nine lives, by your description of his appearance.

Heidi has complained that she feels lost in an ocean of lizards and hat wearing puppies (all extraordinarily cute BTW) so I have agreed to reply to my own post and move her photo down the line...

Indy....

That "Lizard", is called a Viper Tail Gecko. They only grow to be maybe 3" tops, that's nose to tail. They are the coolest little geckos you ever wanna see, fast little buggers too.

When I first got her as a baby, she was only the size of a penny. Their eggs are no bigger that a tic tac. :D Their markings are incredible, aren't they?

Here's a shot from the breeder where I got mine.....
