Loungers' Pets

A lot of folks keep telling me that our pets will be waiting for us in the next life. I hope they're right. I miss the ones I've lost. I just came in from visiting Earl. I miss him terribly.

My heart goes out to all who have had to go through this. I wouldn't wish this pain on my worst enemy.

Most of us do Tom.
Since 1977, I've lost 3 dogs.
One to old age (19), one to parvo (12wks old), and one to diabetes (13yrs old). The last one was the hardest because I (and the wife) gave her insulin 2x a day, and spent a lot of money caring for her the last 2yrs of her life.
For those of us who have no children, our pets take that place.
While I can't prove it, I feel we'll see those pets again, when we pass on.

Buddy (he's a little out of focus, and deaf as a stone these days)

The cat's name is also Buddy. Anyone with small children will understand.

Black cats love to be around people and often they'll latch on to a particular person. I know this is true because El Principe hangs around me all the time nowadays -- more than anyone else in the house.
