Ok got it， ibe seen those, not very interesting indeed, I was hoping to see some REALLY aged photos... like browning effect, deep ravine...

Chrome Tanned Horsehide verses Vegetable tanned (Horween). Not Teacore (brown under the black), it's not designed to break in and become your "best friend" type of jacket. I owned two, moved them both on, just a little too "hardcore" for me. Guess I'm getting soft.

Mine is breaking in really well. Only 30 days of constant wear at this point but the grain is starting to show and getting more comfortable every week. That said, it’s work to break this jacket in.

I find the LW leather and jackets to be absolutely beautiful. You want blackened brown, go get that (I have such a jacket and really like it) but LW truly makes you earn it. To me, that’s what makes it more of a friend than the other “easy” jackets. I guess I prefer Jack Burns’s cats rather than Gaylord Focker’s dogs, at least when it comes to jackets.

I don't know how you would define friend, but a jacket that you can take in any circumstances without worrying about it and that adapts to your shape with long term use... that sounds good to me.

I bought this Lost Worlds Test 6-7 years ago. It has been worn frequently because it is a no nonsense jacket. 4+ ounces as it was described.

I would consider it broken in.

^^ Pretty much exactly as my Easy Ryder was. It was owned by another member here for a year or so first. Never really seemed to change much while I owned it, and it was a no-nonsense, good wearing jacket. 30 years from now, with near daily use, it might look different.

I know exactly what you’re talking about.
I wonder just who and how many will hang long enough to have a “statement” jacket that silently speaks to those that hung!

Terry: all of these are just stellar examples of beasts being tamed! Few will ever get to these levels as it takes dedication and patience hard to fine these days! I salute you and your Lost World world.
Also, that Roadmaster looks like a Windward on steroids! Epic!!

Yeah, I don't care for the heavy finish on a LW, how it barely ever shows age...or how you somehow must extra 'earn' it. I had two LWs years ago and passed them on. Very little character develops. Not for me.

Yeah, all of these look either brand new or just tried on. The Roadmaster could pass for NWT.

Terry, do you still have that Suburban? there was one floating around ebay that looked similar ( yeah, I bought it) I was wondering if it was this one.

edit* I realize that for the most part all of these jackets look identical... Terry's nor the one I bought have the white "Suburban" label underneath the black Lost Worlds Label, Im not sure how common that is.
