Looking for a Duffel bag

My gym bag is starting to fall apart so I'm in need of a new one. I have gotten into the leather/selvedge game after purchasing the last one so I think the new one should be something well made and long lasting. First choice would be leather, but I would also consider denim and canvas.

I think Rothco makes three different sizes of canvas parachute bags that are essentially duffel bags. I've been meaning to pick one up myself. These might not be the best prices, so do a better search if you fancy one.

Since you are in Europe, lake a look at second hand Goldpfeil bags on the bay. They did make duffel bags and their quality & finishing are very good.

I have saddleback. It is nice and heavy but not very handy. It take a lot of time to operate the heavy buckles.
For a gym bag or something I need to get in and out of quickly and move on to the task at hand I would go for textile. And it is easier to stash out of the way.
Red Oxx railroad duffle would be my first choice.

The current favorites are Filson, Nutsac and Cravar. Only came upon Cravar yesterday but leaning towards that one. It has a separate laptop pocket which will be very useful since I take my laptop to work every day. The only thing holding me back is I can't find any reviews for that bag. Filson is aesthetically most pleasing, but the most expensive and doesn't do much in terms of compartments. Nutsac ticks many boxes but might be just a little too small.

You asked about a gym bag. That is usually towel, work out clothes, water bottles, energy snacks, gloves, lifting straps, workout shoes, deodorant. I would never put a laptop in a bag with those things. Did you switch from lookin for a gym bag to an office bag? I missed that.

You're right, I did ask for a gym bag since that's what I've been using so far. I have my gym stuff, my laptop and daily food all in one bag when I leave home in the morning. I didn't really think about the need for a laptop pocket before since I don't have it in my current bag. It's not a necessity, but might make life easier.
