Lochcarron Tweed

Hi all. Im researching the best liner for a Aero Sheene in Seal Brown Italian Vincenza. I would like to wear shirts as light as t shirts under it and as heavy as a light sweater under it. Is Lochcarron Tweed more charactaristic of Merino wool or more "ichy". Im looking at Crail Check Tweed (Light weight). Thoughts...........

What about sleeve lining? I think slippery is probably better, yes. (Sateen?)

Mine is not itchy at all, especially compared to the alpaca lining it replaced.
