The contrast with the blue jeans gives it proportional definition—it looks like a great fit. I like a trucker jacket with longer sleeves.

Seems a bit long for this style
I have a feeling the leather version of the Levi’s trucker jacket is a little longer than the denim version. I tried on a size small denim version in the store and it fit like we would expect the trucker jacket should. The sleeves ended at my wrist and the length ended higher up my hips with more of my front pockets showing. At the back, it just covers my belt. The leather version seems about 1/2 to 1inch longer than the denim version. The sleeve and body length of my leather trucker are very similar to my 30s halfbelt and aero Seven and fit similar as well.

That looks great to me. I like that length, it may be slightly longer than the denim version but it doesn’t cover your front pocket opening...that’s just right imo.
As always, stellar pics!!!

This seems to be the case with Levi’s leather trucker, having looked at all the google pics of it. But even so, the jacket looks great on you... a great fit!

My order of this Levi’s buffalo trucker jacket just arrived, the exact same jacket as Radz’s (with the buffalo hide, not Levis other choice of lamb hide). Same size as his, too.

I looked closely at the hide to see what kind of characteristics it displays. Lots of varying grain and, if you look closely, you can see the hair follicles, indicating its full grain.

Also, as Radz mentioned, it is a lighter hide, but definitely thicker than I had imagined, and certainly thicker than “shirt material” that someone had suggested in one of the post (which is probably the case in Levi’s earlier models).

Although this buffalo trucker from Levi isn’t as heavy as my Aero or Schott jackets, it actually has surprising heft. You can feel the heft drape on you like a decent jacket, rather than cling like a polyester sock.

For the price, I am thoroughly and surprisingly satisfied with this jacket. A sleeper.

I’ll have some fit-pictures soon, but here is a close-up of the grain, and check out the follicles.

Thanks for this info. Nice looking jacket!

In manufacturing countries, if you pay enough, the manufacturer can produce almost any level of quality. Most American companies, to maximize profit, pay a minimum price, so they receive minimum quality in the imported products. I’d say this Levi’s trucker jacket is somewhere at the center-right of the low-to-high-quality spectrum. It is full grain and the stitches are complete and the seams don’t have any exposed cut pieces.

Regarding thickness of the jacket: if one expects this trucker jacket to have similar leather thickness as, say, an Aero jacket, then you will dislike the jacket and think it’s a cheap piece of shit (ignoring the fact that it’s full grain and the stitches are accurate and the cuts are clean and the panels have symmetrical grain patterns).

But if you hope that the weight and thickness of a leather trucker jacket retains similar tone and tradition as the classic jean trucker, in that it could be worn casually even in warmer weather, then you’ll love the Levi’s leather trucker.

I plan to wear mine casually on days that aren’t cool enough for my Aeros and Schotts, during times when a leather jacket doesn’t take center stage to the wearer.

And, it’s a fraction the cost of the featured leather truckers by makers that we on this forum love and praise.

Just got a Levi’s denim trucker in a size small. It is about an inch shorter in body length and sleeve length compared to the leather one. FYI :)

Yep, no doubt that this is a high quality, beautiful leather. It looks far more natural and better than many "high end" hides that I've recently handled. Complete opposite of what Vanson is currently using, for example. . .
