You mean the select reserve black barrel?James, have you had the Jameson black label? I forget what it's called, but it is outstanding.

Probably. This is the only thing I could find on a quick Google search of Jameson black label. If so, I had some last summer in NYC. Greatly impressed me with the taste. Have you had it?

Paddys or Bushmills for me
I had the Redbreast 12 and it wasn't unpleasant but if anything, just didn't have much character to talk about. Of course I drank the whole bottle to make sure. I drank Jameson too irresponsibly for too long, now I can't touch it, the standard offering. The one with the black label is a marked departure though. Very nice. If I were to reach for a bottle right now I'd be deciding between Powers or Connemara. Two very different whiskies at different ends of the spectrum. I better get both.
^ I agree. Redbreast has lost some of it's character over the past few years.
I wonder what the heck they screwed up?!
Maybe they hired a Scotsman as master distiller.
I went in for the Connemara...sold out. I had to wait for the next afternoon's cup of coffee to get a pour of it. Ended up leaving with a bottle of (very off topic) Bulleit instead. Must be because I've been listening to so much country music lately.
:rofl::rofl:lol lol lol Yes, it is triple distilled Scotty!
Nope, bourbon.
