Got this Brown Asymmetric Zip D pocket Jacket at Buck Mason. It's not a high ender, but it's insulated and fits me well. Just a darn nice jacket for under $500. Just me, but I have to have a fitted jacket when riding in colder temps. Just 55 degrees in Northern California today. This jacket with a light sweater underneath kept me warm.

Nice find on your jacket. I never get tired of seeing motorcycles and motorcycle jackets. You have a nice collection of both.

I like my summer jackets to fit snug. I open the lapels and zippered pockets and sleeves and let the air in. A slightly bigger jacket in the summer tends to balloon up at speeds. In the colder weather I prefer my jacket a smudge bigger for layering. 55 degrees is my perfect weather for riding.

The venting options is why I like two-way zippers too. Even on jackets that are shorter.

I think it’s that fairing keeping you warm! I’m really torn on bikes with them. Helps on cold days, hurts on hot ones.

The fairing definitely helps! Mainly, makes a big difference with wind fatigue. I always run cold, even in the summer. So, I don't really have issues with being too hot. Most new HD's are liquid cooled now, even when stopped at red-lights, these motorcycles run about 50% cooler!

^^^ The older I get the colder I run, I guess. I have always preferred the cooler weather. I hardly ride in Jun-Aug anymore. I just can't take the heat/sun hardly at all on the bike anymore. You have the sun beating down on you as you are straddling a hot v-twin motor at a red light. I didn't mind it as much in my younger days, but now, I barely ride when the temps go much above 80-85. It is much more comfortable to jump in the car and blast the air conditioning. lol.

But I also note that I don't ride as much when the temps are in the mid to upper 30s. Back in the day, I would ride most of the year if the roads were clear and my bike would start. lol. My sweet spot is about lower 50s to about upper 60s. Might have to look into heated grips and seat soon (damn blood thinners). lol.

Yeah, I guess that's the natural course of things. I certainly don't have the endurance that I once had. I'm in Northern California, I ride to work sometimes, work afternoons, riding home late in the evenings. If the temps drop below 50, it starts to be uncomfortable for me. Conversely, on really hot days, these new motorcycles run much cooler. I don't find myself sweating bullets anymore when I'm stopped and idling.
