Looks like there’s a Hill Side D-pocket (without epaulettes) on display at the front of their retail shop.

I sent them an email to request an accurate picture of the product and confirmation on whether it is made by Schott. I already told them I am requesting a refund if not made by Schott.

I am ordering overseas and don't want to go through the return process. If they are not competent enough to use the correct picture of the product I can spend my money elsewhere.

Yeah I don't want the hillside design either, looks like crap. I'm also emailing about this and requesting a refund if it's not Schott like previous runs.

Update: I sent them an email asking who the maker was, noting it was misleading to have product photos of a Schott and a Schott product number if it isn't a Schott. I asked for pictures of the actual jacket in production and a refund if it isn't Schott.

Looks like there could be room in my closet for my Sears Oakbrook after all...

I emailed them too. They are dancing around the issue on WHO made it and if the tannery is American. They can say that it's 100% US made.

However, they did confirm that it's not Schott nor Hillside. So there is that. Fox creek?

Edit: what's wrong with hillside btw? Just not worth the price? I checked hillside's D pocket's size chart. Does not seem to track.

Edit: Edit: They also mentioned that if I don't ride motorcycles that it may not be for me. Funny how you're going to deter customers? Luckily I do ride motorcycles. But yeah if you don't ride cancel your order /s *rolls eyes*

Yeah I just got a very similar response. I asked for a refund. Let's see what happens.

For you query on Hillside, this will tell you all you need to know:

They said Hillside is not making the jackets, but didn't say who is. If it's still MiUSA, who does that leave us with? Someone mentioned Fox Creek, I'm not familiar with them. I'd assume it's not Vanson.

It's absolutely not Vanson...fox creek is in Tennessee (I think).

Well, I'm out. Got my order cancelled and a refund. Legendary were easy to deal with in this regard, appreciate that. I'm still curious to see what people get, but I based my purchase decision on all my research into the 696HH, not an unknown jacket from an unknown maker. I hope those who do order jackets are happy with them.

It's really quite something that they won't even state who is actually making the jackets. If it's made in USA, and they want to save a number of sales, seems like it would be worthwhile to just state it. Don't really see why it would be such a huge deal, but then again I'm no leather jacket distributor.

They can probably sense the Lounge exodus and would rather give out refunds than deal with us, lol. I feel a bit bad canceling but hey, not gonna drop that kinda money on uncertainty.

Technically the preorders were supposed to open Memorial Day weekend so us cancelling today opens up slots for those who want it and log on this weekend to order.

They also added a line to the description: "We hand-selected our designer, tannery, cutters, cottage, and sewers. "

It might well be great! But I have enough jackets so I won't gamble for now. I hope you end up getting an amazing jacket and then we all jump in lol.
