The top one of those RRLs is on eBay for a grand £. It’s pretty awesome but for that money I’d want to try it on and not buy it off eBay.

There’s some killer jackets from fine creek and other Japanese brands but hard to get.

I am hoping for a type 1 or 2 from aero.

Don't bother, we won't ever see that one again. I'm still kicking myself for not just pulling the trigger. I actually had the $ at the time but was too cheap/scared to go thru with it. Only realized it's all over after it was all over. That jacket was once in a lifetime. . .

However, Aero actually makes am even better looking version in the exact same hide so not all is lost. If they'd be willing to add a back yoke, you just might get a nicer jacket. I plan to.

I totally hear you on all points Monitor. I sated that remorse with Colin’s LW Trucker and am totally happy....for a black trucker.
But...for brown or cordovan i still got eyes out. I try not to think about natty, maybe save that dream for desert.

Was just informed that my Aero Type 557xx has arrived in the US and is on its way to me. Battered steerhide with gold stitching. I've never seen that combo before, so I'm curious how it turned out. 3 months waiting ... ugh. Will post pics when it arrives...

The label is not LVC as claimed and the last picture from ASOS can’t be the same jacket because the buttons are silver not brass.

I'm sure its legit though as you say it was standard Levis not LVC and the retail price wasn't as high as the seller claims, think it was £400ish. That seller seems to get a lot of end of line Levis clothing, though normally what they sell has had the labels removed - I did buy a shirt from them once (It was fine though there was some damage where the collar label had been removed which they'd hid in their listing with that logo card. Kind of put me off buying anything else from them given the 'de-branded' items they sell aren't far off Levis sale prices but I could tell it was a genuine item.)

TK Maxx had a bunch of these jackets in last season so they evidently didn't sell that many, I think they were selling them for £100 from memory - I did order one myself but they fit quite large and are also a little longer in the body/arms than this style is normaly, so the size I ordered was too big for me. It was well made though, quite heavy and better than most modern Levis leathers I've seen. I think I maybe uploaded a couple of photos earlier in this thread. I'd say at that price they were a bargain but at £300 I would probably pass unless the fit was perfect. Seems they do do returns though so you could return it if the fit didn't work.

I think it might just be the studio lights making the buttons look silver in the ASOS photos, see how shiny the leather looks too in that photo - I do remember they were selling this model.

I picked this RRL up at a decent price the other day, fits pretty well, leather collar and pocket, lightweight, will have to wait for the better weather to see if its a keeper. Its nice enough but that retail price is crazy.
