Leather jacket repair/restoration

I'd like to get a list of people and businesses who repair/restore leather jackets. Zipper replacements, liner repair/replacement, patching, stitching, etc.

I've see Insurrection mentioned in this forum. But they are currently not doing outside repairs. And they referred me to http://www.taylorleatherrepair.com in California.

A quick search on google turned up the following:

I'm actually exploring repair options with a vintage police jacket I recently acquired. The leather is in fine shape but the liner and pockets need repair and/or replacement. I'm probably going to go with Great Leather, but my jacket was made by Passaic Leather and they're still in business. They have a repair service too:

This may be tricky. It's often said there are no good deals when it comes to craft repair - you pay top dollar or you wish you had. Do let us know what you find out and good luck.

They swapped out the main zipper to be a right hand pull.

In Xenia, OH...just printed a mailing label off the website & paid for return shipping....very responsive via email...

here in lalaland i have personal experience with the best, and if you view their yelp you will see i'm not alone with a huge number of those who have had major repairs done on leather jackets or other stuff for what turns out to be a fair price, tho you'll agree price is not the real issue with saving a fine jacket...they are barini leather on ventura blvd in studio city calif...they are so nice and experience in making things look manufacturer new or better on the finest brands...

I second Barini Leather. I haven't seen their repairs, but alterations are top notch.

Sent my jacket to Dena and GreatLeather. She replaced the zipper, knit cuffs and wasteband, fixed the liner, and cleaned the paint off it. Here is the final result:

I obtained a couple more jackets from an eBay auction. A DSCP Cockpit A2, and a DSCP Excelled G1.

Tell me, please, how can I remove those velcro tags on the A2? Do they simply peel off? Should I heat it with a hair dryer first?

Any advice would be appreciated.
