My thing is this. I don't mind waiting 6-8 weeks for this price. But after that, it should be obvious to them that they SHOULD NOT me taking anymore orders. It just seems reckless to do so until you fulfill at least 75% of your orders. Then open the books back up.

reckless or lawless :)

But yes it does look, unless they are managing to gradually catch up - I am aware they were very behind with Kickstarter rewards from reading the forum posts - that they are just creating bigger problems for the future, as pointed out above.

I have more than enough jeans and two more from G on the way, so am happy if I can cancel the LD ones. I can understand the interest in the customisation of the LD shirts at their price, but again have many more than I can deal with, so am happy to lose theirs.

I've also got an order in with http://www.cianofarmer.com/shop.html which I'm expecting within a couple of weeks, so we'll see how reliable they are. They also have crazy 30oz canvas jeans that I could be tempted with once I see the swatch and the fit of the other ones.

Them's some pretty stiff jeans:

I know. I'm tempted to buy them for the novelty value alone. The price is great considering G charged literally twice that for their comparatively weedy 23 and 26oz jeans.

In addition to the frequent deals I think what's really holding them back is their customization feature. When you throw out a million custom options you get bombarded with delays. I also think customers who frequently request changes to their orders slow everyone down. With Gustin you get what is advertised - no fancy buttons, or unique thread colors/pocket lining, etc.. But I agree, they need to catch up with old orders first and stop offering 50% off deals.

With that said, I'm still giving them the benefit of doubt. I do not expect to receive my waxed cruiser in 8-10 weeks - I'm close to approaching the 8 wk mark already but am thinking I won't see anything til March if I'm lucky,

Has anybody received product or gotten delivery schedule updates?

I think they haven't got to the orders from November when this was flagged up here yet.

A post update from Sal on the forum mentioned earlier yesterday said that they admit they can't make 1-2 month turn around times at the moment and that things will most likely be 3 months - Though from looking at the order numbers, they say they've just started orders in the 100 numbers, and the fact I'm a week away from three months as it is with no order update I would think, as above, they are more likely looking at 4 or maybe 5 months.

They do seem to be getting orders out and the products are looking very good, it just looks a lot slower than they first said and, from the looks of things, will be slower than what they are saying still.

Just for curiosity, I also ordered this extra heavy jeans. Hopefully, I will be enough man to break it in. In this extra heavy denim class I have only 23 oz. Gustins so far. Regarding G It took about 2 months to become wearable but from their range I prefer Zimby's as they are fading much nicer.

Peter, if you check out the Selvedge board you'll see the rose-tinted glasses are coming right off the punters.

I'm at 15 weeks and now genuinely expect another 10. It's fair to say they've been overwhelmed due to low prices and time-consuming customisations and have lost the plot completely.

I received a 'your jeans are on the cutting table' email yesterday, which cheered me until I found out a. this is the first of 11 steps (a la Alcoholics Anonymous) and b. that people have received the same message have waited a further two months for their jeans.
To be honest, I'm still not that bothered as they didn't cost me a massive amount, what I've seen on the boards has looked good, and, really, when I saw them offering all the cut-price stuff again after the initial sale, I fully expected this to happen. Bottom line is, I'm reasonably relaxed about this but it's not great.
As it is, I'm looking forward to getting my SJC jeans, ordered roughly at the same time, and Simon's been a star in terms of keeping us up to speed with how production's going. Will post pics when I get them.

The Yard Boss jeans. From the look of SJC's FB site, shipping is either close or has happened. Really looking forward to getting them.

Hmmm seems I've seen this movie before.... Welp. If I never get what I ordered I'll just consider it another lesson learned.

Worf

I saw a similar movie .
After a year's wait, with the possibility of having to wait another year, I was happy that they returned my initial down payment for a leather jacket I had placed on order. :D

I've just tried to look at his retail site but nothing much is happening there. No prices, no ordering.

I actually like the look of his denim jacket now and wish I'd gone for it at KS stage. But I'm still uneasy about the yellow thread, and would like a choice of something a bit more subtle.

And of course, realistic timescales are important, given the Lawless fiasco.
