I ordered a cossack collar sidewinder in medium black cow- fit perfect.
Now I am waiting (due late this month) for a dark brown side winder with dress collar and mutton collar- these guys get the fit down perfectly.
The leather is awesome.

Mine will be a ba***rd child of a Sidewinder and a straight zip Cascade with its bi-swing back, but with a collar.

Unsure if I want padding or not yet. This will be my dedicated motorcycle jacket so I am leaning toward padding.

That's pure speculation. I'd like to hear from Langlitz what they're actually using.

I bet that's a pretty good guess. Last I heard Langlitz was really trying to steer people away from the heavy hides and toward the 3.5oz medium weight...judging from the photo, where the leather meets the liner...doesn't look overly heavy or thick.

@swixo depends of which thickness of cowhide you order. It would thinner than our medium cowhide. It’s very nice.

That was a response they left on their instagram where the original picture in this post came from. So in terms of quality or appearance being that its Langlitz I can imagine its going to look and feel amazing. Yet it wont be very thick at all.

I dont use Instagram either haha. I googled it and then looked at it and read some comments. I thought people would be asking the same type of questions we ask here. And they are, and Langlitz hasnt said where they sourced it, how its dyed, or its exact weight from what I can tell, But they did say lighter than the midweight cow. But their customer service is usually pretty great, if someone called them or emailed them Im sure they would let people know.

Their midweight cow looks so good to me and it's available in every color imaginable...I wouldn't even be interested in the pony skin myself...
