Thank you for the kind words! The dress was bought at Dublin Vintage Fair last year, it has a Martha Manning tag inside, but I wouldn't know, what year exactly is this model dated (I was told 40's by the seller). It is a tiny bit too wide for me, hence the belt. The brooch came with the dress, it has B.S.K. letters stamped on the inside so it isn't really correct for the wartime as the company was founded in 1948 . The shoes I'm wearing are modern (Clarks) - I struggle to find anything truly vintage as I'm not exactly a Cinderella, I'm wearing shoes size 9 / 42 lol.

from last night: My sweetheart Tom and I went to hear the pianist and dance to his music at the Laurel Court restaurant in The Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.


I wore red beaded and sequin dress found in a vintage shop. Its not that old (80s or 90s?), but removing the shoulders pads gave it an earlier feel.

Having posted this pic on the show us your suits thread, it seems only fair that my wife is seen in her finery.
The dress she made, the hat and gloves were brought back to life. They looked very sad and neglected.
The Jacket comes from the lovely Shona, who runs Heyday Vintage Fashion.
And the shoes, who knows, she has a wardrobe full of shoes.

This is one of my many dresses from Mill Street Vintage on Etsy. Her stuff is lovely, but a bit pricey.

This is a dress that I purchased at a local shop. I have worn it only twice because it has a few weak seams and I am too lazy to fix them! I feel like I look really young in this outfit. Especially with the cardigan.
