Thanks so much everyone!! But, I must say I had a great photographer!! Also, I was facing the sun for lighting purposes, so when the sun is directly in my eyes, they tend to be a bit brighter. A lot of people in my family have strange colored eyes. My sister has a very pale shade of green that are really lovely. My Granny has yellow eyes, I kid you not, they are haunting!! My late Grampa had the most amazing bright blue eyes, I used to joke with him that being a mechanic he worked too long with spark plugs and all the electricity from them was shooting out of his eyes, they were absolutely amazing!

ImOldFashioned, that is such a lovely picture! I know there are a lot of beaches in Maine, but that wouldn't happen to be Kittery Point Beach? There's just something about that picture that looks like Kittery to me. Hem and I have spent a lot of time on that particular beach. It was the late Carmina's favorite place. It got to the point where we couldn't even say "favorite place", "Kittery", or "beach" for she would go to the door and whine until we actually got in the car and took her. No other beach would do either, it had to be Kittery. Aww, I miss that place! Made even lovelier with you in the picture!!

Many thanks for all the kind words! I'm fairly critical of photos of myself but I really like that one--no makeup, hair blown to heck but I'm happy and I think it comes through.

You've got a darn good eye Daisy--that picture was taken at Long Sands Beach in York ME, just down the road from Kittery. By the way, when I went into the Brooks Brothers outlet in Kittery I couldn't stop thinking of Hemingway

you're quite welcome! I wish my eye color was that pretty. My eyes are the color of dirt.
And not even pretty dirt. I have a little tiny bit of gold flecked in them, but mostly they're the color of dirt.
