Do you think the hat is late 40s, early ‘50s?




I'm getting dizzy with these dates and history notes...

When was the golden era? Do you think that is a 1952 hat/receipt?

I would be surprised if that hat was not 100% fur felt. The dimensions, the black sweat band, the printing, it all looks like a relatively recent hat. I would guess 1960s or later. Sadly, the quality of most US made hats were in a serious decline during this time.

The proportions and shape are also not as popular around here as the better quality older hats, but that’s an aesthetic and completely up to you. What did you want to know about this hat?
