That Austrian scent that was such a favourite with the like of Flynn, Churchill, Bogie, and even some daring Golden Era women wore it too!! Ye-Gads!!

This little gem from the 1920's seems to be getting harder and harder to obtain at a decent price. Many of the online sites that were discounting it just don't have it any more (nor in decent 125ml sizes). WHERE OH WHERE can a Gentleman get this little bottle of vintage nectar these days at a price that won't sink a small nation? [huh]

All pointers, advice and feedback welcomed dear members!

I agree, this is great stuff. I got my bottle at a little place in San Francisco and it was their last bottle. Not sure where to get it in Europe, other than trying Knize in Vienna directly. I have their cologne but would love to try the aftershave.

Did a real quick google search for knize ten edt and this came up. No idea if it's the real stuff but for five bucks it's worth it to order a bottle and compare. I would do it but I have no idea what the original was like. Any volunteers? Haha

Judging by the ingredient list, they should call it everything but the kitchen sink, Either that or the person that reviewed it sniffs glue. Anyway I digress, bought a bottle of that Pinaud Musk, very impressed. Hate the bottle, for that matter when did old spice start using plastic? Uhg!:eusa_doh:

Oh, this is really off topic, but a must have for the medicine cabinet, Limacol. It's a mentholated alcohol product. Awesome as a skin brace, or inhaled to freshen the lungs.

Very controversial scent, this one

I like it, but only 1 spritz at a time. Any more than that is really unneccessary as it is very overpowering

I agree--this is a one spritz job, but it smells great and lasts forever. I put some on one Saturday morning and later in the day, I was running around in my car doing errands and I suddenly had this great sense of fin-de-siecle elegance and it was me! I also craved Sacher Torte.....

I first tried it...

A few years ago (actually when I organised the first London TFL dinner for MK coming over) and I was staying near Mayfair and found this little family owned perfumery (Les Senteurs, Elizabeth Street, London) and they had sample bottles! I tried Knize Ten and also a Creed fragrance (that was leather based). I LOVED the Knize Ten, but just could not afford a bottle at that point.

It really is OLD SCHOOL; OLD HOLLYWOOD; OLD EMPIRE...and very, very masculine in that old fashioned Film Noir, Merchant Ivory sort of way.

As you'll read on some of the links (above), not to everyone's taste, but then...are YOU 'Man' enough...?
