Nice, I’m currently scouting for one but they’re soo scarce

I’ve been trying to get pics and measurements from the few shops that stock it but most are sold out, so if things start looking grim at least now I know theres this route to consider

And if you don't mind me asking, whats the time & money ballpark numbers for a project like this with JL?

Nice, havent seen that model but I recognized the hide/stitch combo (vintage brown buffalo) as I’m currently contemplating getting their barnstormer or trying to make my own with JL

I still have a shot at a new one in my size, and I really like the matte finish and matching stitching combo on their red/black color as it makes the graining a bit more subtle, but these japanese shops are not that easy to deal with and I wouldnt risk buying it blindly as I’ve already seen how much the graining and panel arrangments change between jackets, some look pretty good, some look like works of art, others just look ok by comparison and some have noticiable small to medium scars (particularly in the back)

So yeah been trying to get pics and messurements for the past week but if things start looking grimm at least now I know theres this route to consider

Considering the low stock numbers that brand produces it’s highly likely I’ll try them out sooner than later cuz I was also considering getting their little wing and having the collar redone to a smaller jacket type collar cuz I think that jacket also looks really good but I just can’t work with big collars

I was looking into it and well you never know what you are going to get size wise and that would be incredibly difficult to return so Jl they make all my jackets spot on i choose color hide and everything else

Came in on Friday yesterday was perfect night here in Ny to give it a go I wore it out it’s supple and ready to go out the box in my opinion it drapes and feels like a heavy duty deer hide I know that’s not a thing it’s just what it feels like when I wore it I will do fit pics

Ok short story time a while back one of gentlemen at Johnson’s named Vince came out with a concept jacket a 1of 1 for himself that he designed call the del terra I fell in love with it but let it so I decided to have a conversation with him and se if we could create a rough out 1of 1 for me but over the top funky he was beyond excited and agreed to it so that what we did because well I like funky stuff as y’all know

I know that jacket, I always thought it was quite cool, he did the reverse skull kinda thing.

Can't wait to see how it fits. I remember seeing their instagram story about a new half belt fit.

Should fit great as always I will add more for pics I expect the skull and tips up front to darken with the sun I believe it’s natural leather it’s why I got the cuff buttons that color in anticipation and if not a quick swap

natural cowhide gets orange very fast, if the shade doesn't match up with the buttons it's always an easy fix. Can't wait to see your jacket.

Thanks brother I think it gets in on Friday they told me it was actually pretty robust full rough out no split suede I spoke with Alan he recommended a product by nano just to protect it it won’t be as vulnerable as suede but still I purchased the spray and have it in hand

Thanks I really think it will be an amazing jacket that pops and well is just overall different just really shows why I go with Johnson leathers they have made everything that my mind has concocted a reality and as you know just makes me want to make another one possibly a funky leather pea coat
