What'a ya gotta take this stuff so personal for. So you don't agree, give me something other than calling me a name. The America my father was on Omaha beach for and I joined the Marines for is one of tolerance and freedom. That includes conservatives, liberals, libertarians and others. Isn't that what America is really all about? Just because I don't think like you or might not be aligned in the same political direction that you are, you're saying that I'm not an American? Or the men I served with thought less of me because I'm liberal? Well let me give you a history lesson. In the Corp I served in a persons political beliefs were something we all would fight to our deaths to protect. Even ones that weren't in line with our own. In the 1970s conservative were probably in the minority in the Corps. This is what has me a little concerned about our future as a country. People are not focused on some of the real problems but instead when someone disagrees the are called names. Also its been conservatives thru out history that have tried to kill the Corps. They almost succeeded in the late 1800s.
I know friends that were waist deep in rice paddy's while this guy because of wealth and privilege wasn't. If he were a liberal I'd have the same opinion. My point was don't put him on the same page as real heroes. He's done nothing in his life to put him in that company. Thanks Dusty for your service. I'll buy the first round. :cheers1:
