Hey gang, anything worthwhile in this collection at the moment?

The line seems downsized at the moment. My local Penny's has almost nothing, and what they do have doesn't really have any vintage influence. I saw a few basic button downs. They also have some shirts in the Young Mens/ Denim area, but they're all covered with logos and prints.

It looks like the Fall stuff is starting to come in. I was a Penny's yesterday and saw a canvas barn type jacket, and a plaid workshirt that was kinda nice.
The shirt had corduroy elbow patches and looked sort of Woolrich esque to me. The $50 price tag seemed pretty steep, but I'm sure it will be 40% off shortly.

Wandered through a Penney's yesterday, and they had a full display up. Nothing you couldn't get from Cabela's, with better quality and a lower price tag.

I have to say, for the 2-3 years they've been around, they consistently sell me more stuff than any other line. I love their madras, their shorts, especially the khakis. I know it's early, but I've GOT to find that jacket from last year if it hits eBay!

I saw a nice group of plaid workshirts today in the Young Men's American Living section. Nice cat eye buttons on all of them and the plaids look convincingly vintage. On sale for $19.99. Slap a Levis label on them and they'd be $69.50.

Cabela's freaking rocks. I'm currently trying to pull together a camping trip somewhere around Tahoe, with about 20 of my bestest friends and their spouses, with the Prime Directive being a daytrip into the Cabela's store.
I had Reno in my sales territory until about 5 years ago, and it's a good thing I no longer cover it, or I'd be completely broke by now. Some guys blow their paychecks at the blackjack table, I'd blow mine on Cabela's clothing and hunting supplies.

I saw a Ralph Lauren Rugby jacket tonight that appears to use the same plaid material used on this American Living jacket. It's interesting to think that the folks at RL would use materials from their lower end line on a high end piece.

Those holiday sweaters are cool.

Also at Macy's I saw some ok stuff from Ralph Lauren's Denim & Supply line.

RL denim& supply line? I never heard of it. Why does a label need so much "lines"? I see the difference between say purple label, Polo and RRL. But there are also Chaps, Rugby....and some more that just could be merged and run under the same name.

I like the JC Penney Plaid Jacket. I also like the red /black shawl collar sweaters...hm I wonder if I have a chance to get one to europe?

It's true and I'm sad about it. It was the only reason I entered JCP. Really liked their madras shirts and of course the prices. Guess it's back to buying overpriced Ralph Lauren Polo stuff :(

At my local JC Penny they have a big section of the men's department in plastic work boxes which means a new area of featured product is going in. Will wait and see now.

From what I have have heard, some remaining product will trickle in, but the AL departments themselves are becoming IZOD shops:eusa_doh:
