ISO Flat Head double rider or Delraiser size 38

This is what my delraiser looks like near some of the wear spots if this helps. I do remember seeing somewhere a flathead wrj model that was black aniline dyed (struck through) without the teacore but ive never personally seen it.

Ive seen a WJR-51. this model is true black, no brown aura but it has the detachable fur mouton collar and lace fasteners on the back. This might be the model you're referring to.

I don't think so @Papalaka, But i'm sure you can find someone to custom make one for your jacket. Anything is possible at the right price.

It's not flannel lined, material looks like what they use for dinner other jacket linings I've seen from them. Like a herringbone pattern cotton or blend of some kind.

Edit: mine is an older iteration, i have not seen the new ones and i can't say what they are lined with although i would guess it's the same.

2021 has a red cotton lining in the sleeves. It isn't herringbone more like drill but its pretty silky. The torso lining is also a fairly thin cotton and doesn't seem nearly as brushed as the older models.

I have the version with it fully lined in red “sateen” I believe which is silky and provides and easy on and off. Dwilson it sounds like they updated the sleeves in that material for the 2021 delraiser version. Just curious as I am interested in getting a delraiser but can’t stand when the sleeves are cotton twill and make it hard to get the jacket on and off. I picked up a FCL Raymond and am having to get the sleeves relined because they are tight and catch on anything long sleeved.

How's the fit on the fcl Raymond compared to the flat head?

Fit is pretty comparable. I’m a 44 in both jackets. The only difference was the tightness of the sleeves on the Raymond specifically in the area where your arm bends. It’s left marks on the creases in my arms. Couldn’t really fit a long sleeve underneath because of it plus the cotton twill sleeve lining made it really hard to get on and off. Therefore I’m getting the sleeve lining replaced with nylon and that part of the sleeve stretched. Hoping for the best!

I haven't. There was a member here I can't remember who has had both and claimed the build quality of the double rider was better than the delraiser but I have a very difficult time beliving that. Looking at Rivet and Hide the hardware seems identical. 1.3mm semi-aniline teacore sounds like the same leather. Sizing looks similar. The only differences are the Delraiser specific build differences. I wouldn't mind if the Delraiser had the leather flap covering the wrist zippers. But other than that I do not personally like the look of the double rider compared to Delraiser so I never gave it serious consideration.

It’s not major construction or material differences but TFH has double stitching at some joints, folded leather for the cuff expansion and leather under the flap of the coin pocket. These are 3 things I remember between TFH and delraiser. The delraiser I previously owned did have beautiful grainy leather and obviously the lining is different than TFH. Both are beautiful jackets and I like the style of the delraiser a little more but it didn’t fit properly so I moved it on.

Thanks for the info, that is helpful. How was the fit different? I would think the fit would be the same but I guess not.
