Hi Guys. I’m new here and this is my first post, though I’ve spent a lot of time reading other threads.
I’m looking for advice on the Schott P613S in the photos below. I can’t decide if it’s too large for me. For the most part it feels good. Shoulder width and sleeve length are spot on but there is definitely some extra room in the chest. The worst part is the upper arm area where it meets the back of the jacket. As you can see in the photos, it puffs out there and feels as if the back is a bit too broad for my slender frame. Does anyone have experience with this and know whether or not this part will form to my shape better as I break it in?
I also noticed a couple wavy parts in the back, which makes me think there’s too much leather so it’s bunching up instead of being stretched out flat. I like the bit of extra room for layering, as I already have plenty of tight-fitting jackets that don’t have much room for more than a t-shirt, but I don’t want to regret not sizing down later on.
A few things to note: I’m 6’1”, 175 lbs with a slender/athletic build. My weight fluctuates between 170 - 200, depending on how healthy I’m attempting to be, so I’m on the thin side right now. This is a size medium. I have many leather jackets, some of which are high quality, but this is the first legit motorcycle jacket I’ve bought. I don’t ride, but the Horween No. 8 steerhide is so beautiful I decided to take a chance with this. So the fit I’m looking for is more of a fashion fit than a riding fit.
Sorry for the terrible pictures. Attempted bathroom mirror selfies are the worst. Thanks for any advice you have to share!
