Is the IJ haircut period-accurate?

A bit off the rocker, but I was just wondering.

I have a haircut/style almost identical to Dr. Jones'. Do you think I could pull it off as a "vintage haircut"? Haha! lol

Did guys in the 30's have hair like this? I wouldn't know...

Thanks - J

That haircut - short at the sides/back, a bit longer on the top - was common in the 30s, I think. So was his hairstyle, though I wouldn't say it was seen as being trendy.

Henrik

I read IJ and thought of Isham Jones.

I'm pretty sure his hair was accurate to the period, what was left of it anyway. As a devotee of his music, I've adopted a similar style myself, with help from mother nature.

Okay, guys...

This is what I'm talking about.

Does this hairstyle fit in with the 1935-38 period?

I dunno how period correct that is. but IMO it's kind of lame. Looks like how I used to get my haircut when I went to Bo Ricks as a kid.

Marc, that is a good call on Will Rogers. It is very much like Will Rogers. Ernest Hemingway too, when he had hair. ;)

Certainly much more helpful than a dismissive, "it's kind of lame."

Thanks, HJ. I was going to say something about that, but decided better of it.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm not really concerned about the period-popularity of the style, but moreso if it was a period style at all.

I have an identical hairstyle and was simply wondering if I could pull it off with the vintage look :p
