Buckaroo Hatters aint just for cowboys anymore!

After the teaser in another thread, I could not wait any longer.

Here is a photo sent to me from 'Major' Moore.

The photo of my grandfather {from around 1936, when he worked for the TVA in Alabama, hence the name of the hat}, from the shots Mike sent, I think he nailed the look and style with no more than he had to go on.

A shot of the crown, Mike and I both speculated that a diamond bash would be likely for the 1936 time frame.

And the liner.

Mike has cleaned it and it is on its way to me even as I type.
Some of the specs...100% Beaver--just a hair under six inchs [open crown]
2 3\4 inch brim-- maybe Mike can hit the specifics better than I can.

Thanks for reposting those photos. I just went through the whole thread not being able to see what everyone was talking about. It looks like a beautiful hat and reeks of authenticity.

I have to places i put my hats. either on my shelf in my closet or in the original boxes in my closet... They must feel scared when they arn't on my head... all alone in a dark small room... fftopic:
