Now, that's tough, eh? Has to be in a style and color that goes with just about anything you might wear, and durable since it's the one-and-only that you wear practically every day. Would have to be in a weight that you could wear in all seasons, too.
Me? I'd go with a vintage beaver fur felt fedora: Either a Cavanagh or lightweight Borsalino with about a 2 1/2-inch brim in light gray or silver belly.
Do I have either of these? No, but I continue to look for one in near-perfect condition in 7 1/8.
If I could find one, I'd dispense with all my other hats. And if you believe that, I'd like to talk with you about some property for sale in south Florida...
Now I know why you didn't answer my thread......lolK.D. Lightner said:I think I have every hat I ever wanted -- four custom made fedoras, a black open road, a green selentino, an Akubra Federation and Campdraft, two vintage Borsalinos.
Plus some cowboy hats -- a Stetson "Gus," a Rand cowboy hat, an open crown Bailey I have yet to have styled, may go for a Tom Mix look.
Can't think of a darned thing. Oh, I don't have a Stratoliner. So, maybe a Stratoliner. With one of those little airplane pins in it.
