I'd have to go with Veronica Lake and Marlene Dietrich. Although, I agree with Matt Deckard on Diana Rigg. She was my first love and my wife still teases me about it. I can't watch the end of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" without shedding a quiet tear.

I've been in love with Audrey Hepburn all my life. A wonderful actress and humanitarian!

I try to get my Daughters to emulate her life.

On Hiatus. Really. Or Not.
Audrey...

I could have danced all night...
I could have danced all night...
And still have begged for more...
I could have spread my wings,
And done a thousand things I've never done before...

Ahhh!

There's actually a cute little book on the subject!

How to be lovely : the Audrey Hepburn way of life / [compiled and edited] by Melissa Hellstern

It's not as corny as it sounds :)

For some reason my daughter has loved Audrey Hepburn since she was really little, without any prompting from me. (Other than my love of classic movies and music) She loves "My Fair Lady" and "Breakfast at Tiffanys" even now and she's about to graduate college.

I guess she just has good taste, like her father. lol

Gail Patrick---Wow!

She stayed in my mind the second I saw her. She's on my short list along with Carole Lombard, Irene Dunne, and Ginger Rogers.

I don't know the name of the golden era girl that I would pick. I don't even know how she looks like. Why? Because I wouldn't pick some filmstar, but some ordinary, next-door golden era girl.

Gene Kelly is my pick.
(Although I also do like Cary's style and Clark's manliness.)

Sweetie, we're talking about chicks here. ;)

Unless you're outing these guys.

Most of the women in these 18 pages looked wonderful between their teenage years and their early thirties, but Audrey and, especially Sophia (born in 1934!) looked better into their 60s than most people do in their 40s. As spitfire posted more than a year ago, she was great yesterday, and she's still great today.
