I think it's a filthy, degrading, disrespectful, and unacceptable way to refer to any woman. It saddens me to see it become so pervasive. I saw some young ladies walking down my street not long ago and some guy further down the street yelled out to them "hey h*'s! How are you b***hes?" They weren't even offended and went over to laugh and talk with him and they ended up walking off together.

Am I too old fashioned? Doesn't this seem wrong?

So sad. I feel so frustrated sometimes when I think about this stuff.

No way would I ever refer to any woman; let alone my spouse that way. It shows an utter lack of refinement and respect. However, words do evolve. Remember when gay simply meant happy or lively? Would anyone even recognize that use of the word these days? Is using the word bitch that much different than the old days when the word was broad? Maybe it depends on the context and tone with which one says it. Once again, I don't condone such use of that word and agree that in order to be respected one must give respect.

Only times I've been called that by a man I was involved with romantically, he didn't mean it affectionately, he was mad as hell.

That'd probably be a contributing factor to why you're still WITH said lady. :)

Anyone can get mad, I understand that, but still.
