... go for this beaut in charbrown, with underwelt, 2" brim, less stiff or standard stiffness, matching 9 ligne ribbon, swing bow.

Now, I like the style of the James Bond Dr. No hat, but wasn't too impressed from the pictures I saw at BaronHats.com. (No offence if the vendor who runs it is here, feel free to delete if this is inappropriate.) The ribbon seemed too wide, the crown a little too tall, and the price was a bit higher.

What do you guys think? Good deal or no?

Very cool. What do you think of the styling options I chose? The 9 ligne is a little smaller than one inch, no? I think that better balances out the stingy brim. I'm also thinking of black, but I wonder how dark the charbrown is in person. A really dark, almost black sort of brown would be nice.

Thoughts are welcome.

Contrast ribbon isn't really my bag, but you can get it if you're so inclined -- however not in the smaller lignes.

Thanks for the support. The thing I have to ask is, would this kind of hat go with me? Here's some pictures if none of you have seen me before.

Oh Pabst... the beer of hipsters and scene kids. :D (And the only inexpensive beer I can drink.)

Good to know. I figured a trilby would be best suited to my style and the style I aspire to, which includes narrow dimensions in ties, lapels, etc. and is essentially very '50s and '60s. Got any pictures of your friend? :)

EDIT: Thanks for the link; I'd have to replace that ribbon though. It's a little wide for my taste. Borsos are high quality though, from what I've read here.

Hey Jovan, don't be offended, but the way you are dressed reminded me of Porridge:

Minus the Christmas hats, of course.

I'm sure it's just because of the colour the pictures came out, etc. Probably the blues.

Anyway, I think this hat would work fine on you. Not wishing to be Douglas's echo again, but so long as you wear it confidently I don't see why it wouldn't.

I am just a girl... but I think it would look great on you! I wouldn't mind having that hat in camel or fawn for myself!;) Very nice!!

Whoa! Now just a minute here! Don't qualify your opinion here! You're not "just a girl". A woman's opinion is just as important as a guys (actually more so in my book)

Sometimes I just gotta sound off......
