Really ? Rats if it was at 2 1/2 that would be a good one to copy, but I don't think I can pull off one that short. It seems a little wider but I guess that's just his thin face.

When I brought a couple hats into Optimo for servicing last summer, Graham himself told me that they were using his "Oxblood" felt for this film. I'm guessing that the hat Depp is wearing is Oxblood. It certainly looks like it here....

You know it will be interesting to see how authentic they made this movie as far as clothing goes. When they robbed the bank in South Bend, they were dressed in overalls and floppy straw hats. In any case this will be a great movie, I hope he plays the part as well as Warren Oats.

That lid is wonderful. I want one. I think sizing-wise the brim and crown dimensions depend on the size of the dude under the hat. I think that is the problem with alot of the Indy hats, small guys like myself wearing a hat that fits a bigger, taller guy. [huh]

Yup, right about that. Maybe even a whisker smaller.

I doubt it has much if anything to do with the movie (which is still nearly four months away from theatrical release, after all), but of late I've been making more hats with those dimensions (or close to them) than anything else. Fine by me. It's a great look.
