RAGNAR FEDORA. The vintage style that is so simple and yet very elegant. The one I wear should have a bit roughed up look, like its been somewhere and has a story to tell. This one is a Rabbit & Hare mix, as so many of my hats, with a 5.5 inch tall crown and 2 1/2 inch brim.

What I enjoy the most is to always make something different. I learn something new as well. The conversation before making a hat is priceless. 2-inch brim 30X Beaver fedora. 5-inch crown.

Very nice, Mikael. The proportions give them a very classic look. Great job!

Hello. I was on Etsy and tried to add one of your hats to my cart only to find you only offer smaller sizes through the site. Im a 61 long oval or 62 regular oval. Do you offer hats in these sizes?

Thanks, Brent

Hi Brent,

Yes I do, I can make up to 63 in size. Would you kindly contact me through Etsy with the link of the listing that you are after? I can talk you through the hat that you are looking for otherwise.

Regards,

Mikael

I see, could be the 100% Rabbit fur. Those felts are smaller and I won't be able to stretch them more than a specific size. Its a discontinued felt and I focus entirely on Rabbit & Hare mix in my selection, as well as beaver mix. Those can all go up to 62 at least and at most 63 - 64 even.

Could also be that I have not updated the store properly. One man show here, currently taking care of orders. A good problem to have. Happy to make a hat for you.

I still love looking at this hat, no matter what its name ;), so am bringing it here:

Just finished making this Trilby. 5 inch crown, 2 inch brim. Rabbit and Hare mix fur felt. Still a few tweaks before shipping this one.

Its profile, as seen especially in the last picture, really does it for me.

Thank you kindly! I named it a Trilby, but I guess its a short brim fedora with a bound edge. Got to love a tall crown ;)

Is your ribbon true grosgrain and NOT petersham?

Thanks.

Hi,

This one is the true one. Cotton Rayon blend. The way it was meant to be. Some hats are using Petersham due to color. But I have a stock of the true ribbons that I love. Especially for my LEIFUR Adventure hat I have a great stock of this dark brown ribbon.

Gray hare and rabbit felt and “Serpent” grosgrain ribbon (the photo quality wash out the colors to a grayscale blob).

So far:
1. Great communication!
2. Photo quality is average at best (probably due to Etsy).
3. He has a very limited supply of grosgrain to chose from so unless you’re alright with petersham you could have a hard time finding a color you like.
4. His brim binding is way above market pricing. I can get his hat raw edge and pay for two-way shipping to VS and pay for VS to bind the brim and be money ahead.
5. Fast 3-4 week estimation for completion.

No regrets and I’m looking forward to a great hat. I told him from the outset that I was going to be very critical and write my review here and he showed great confidence that I’d like his work. He’s right so far.
