I stretched that a bit by dating, for a few months, a 21 year old when I was 37, and we used similar jokes on each other.

the rule I usually find hold true for dating and age is: half plus seven. so if you're 14 you can only date 14 year olds. But if you're 40, you can date as young as 27. The idea being that the older you get the less age matters. So at 37, 21 was just at the low range of your dating pool. at least by my theory.

I'm 4'10"ft and I rarely wear heels. I rarely do anything to appear taller. There was this formula for calculating some leg ratio length in the Daily Mail last year I think it was and my legs are actually relatively longlol It was a beauty ideal thing and a certain ratio was considered most attractive. So my legs are actually unattractively too longlol I have a high, low waist. A nightmare to dress btw.:eek:fftopic: Sorry, I find it difficult to stay on topic because I write like I talk:eek:

The exception was when I was in London but I didn't see any other ladies in heels except for the odd older Italian lady tourists. I thought more women in cities than smaller towns wore heels:confused: Actually, most women in London appear to be walking around in flip-flops!:eek:fftopic:

How much is that in cm? My converter says 125 cm, is that right?

If you use my mobile phone's calculator it's 145cm or so which is wrong. I think it's supposed to be 147cm. Well, I know for sure I'm 147cm. Sorry if my foot and inch conversion is wrong but that's what an online converter came up with.

Reviving an old thread because I can't sleep.

I'm 5'7" ... the short one of the family along with my aunt who is the same height. I always expected to be tall growing up because I was always taller than everyone in school, and my mom is 6', but I just grew very fast and then stopped! I like my height though. I know what a difficult time my mom has always had shopping for clothes, and my gramma at 5'9" always had to make all her clothes back in the day. The tall genes come from the Danish side of the family. My dad's side is more average height. My dad is 5'9" -- he's all torso though and my mom is all leg, so when they sit down they are the same height.

I'm 6 ft tall (1,82cm). I am almost everywhere the tallest woman. But I do wear heels and I don't know why some of you tall ladies feel weird when you wear heels? And I have quite long legs. They look even longer when I wear these lovely 40s high waisted trousers.:)

I'm 5'9" - not quite there, but I know what you mean. The problem is I have a naturally high waist (2" above my navel! yikes!), plus long legs. So sometimes it's very hard to avoid the babydoll-dress effect. I love my heels, though.

I'm 5'2".

It's really amusing, since the average woman in my neck of the woods is 5'7" or 5'8", and my man is nearly 6'3".

I don't know where I'm at. When I was in high school, I was measured
5'5 1/2, I believe. I have some back issues, so whom knows now. I wouldn't doubt I shrunk.... dang it! I'm like a lot of us shorties, I wear heels to compinsate for it.

I'm 4'11", or as one friend always tells me "same height as Veronica Lake". Have no idea if that is true or not though (I think he has a crush Veronica ;))

The only downside of being a bit short is having to alter nearly everything! So far the biggest challenge has been unpicking and re-positioning the pleated back bit of one of my Stop Staring dresses.
