How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Everyone and their brother hopping aboard the C2 train (rightfully so) it seems, but I'm happy with my OG C:

Anyway, I recently missed out on this Vanson Cheyenne in black suede. When I went to sleep there weren't any measurements provided so I waffled on it. The next morning the listing had been updated with pictures showing dimensions, and lo and behold, it was sold.:

So then I turned my eye to this Tenderloin roughout deerskin cossack. But alas, after telling myself I'd sleep on it, it was sold the next day following a price drop:

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times...not going to happen. Now I wouldn't consider this an impulse purchase because I've had my eye on this passively for several months ever since I started exploring the rabbit hole that is the Japan used market. Being on the lightweight end of the spectrum is a blessing and a curse because the choices are endless and the prices can be incredible, thus yielding some great deals (see above examples). But having missed out on two other jackets in the past couple days I ended up pulling the trigger on something pretty unique:

Definitely won't be be garnering the universal acclaim of the C2, but I'm pretty chuffed for this one. I figure I'll let stew in the Buyee warehouse for most of the 30 day free storage window and then have it delivered right before my birthday. Plus that'll give me a month to sell some other stuff to raise funds since I stretched my budget a bit on this. But the opportunity to own a 1 of 5 limited edition (with only 1 made in each size, so 1 of 1 for me) was an extremely strong draw. After doing a reverse image search and digging in deeper on the story behind the development of this jacket I knew I had to make a play for it.
Fantastic jacket and hat combination. We are similar sizes, I think, so I'll be watching with interest to see what jackets you put up for sale. Oh, happy birthday next month.

Just had this beauty delivered from the States(from a amazing lounger) :)

Really cool design(just look at that back) that's perfect for a Swedish winter while still looking the part, can't wait to get to know it better :D

Cheers!

I've never owned a Vanson, but the C2 probably is the one I'd consider if it fell into my path at the right time. I particularly like that they chose to go with brass rather than chrome as the standard for fittings - immediately sets it apart from being a Schottalike, for example. I mean, I like Schott - I'm on my second 618 now - but I always like to see something different too.

Really like this. Got my eye on an all-wool jacket in this style. Bit of 40s flare without being OTT. :)

Cracking looking jacket, what brand is it? Wool / leather combos can be interesting. I've often toyed with the idea of one of the Aero mixed HBs - maybe even seeing if it's an option to have it done in a drill cotton with the leather, the idea being it could be worn in somewhat warmer weather than the full leather... (obviously the opposite design intent to this one!).

@Herrvallmo i’m enjoying checking out the record collection as much as the jackets

Cool combination of jacket and hat. I could imagine wearing a hat like that, but I wouldn't know when to wear it without feeling like I was wearing a costume. But maybe for my photos? Let's see lol
Very cool with you in any case.

Just avoid the TFL Hat section if you want to avoid that rabbit hole. I dabbled “to learn” and figured out that ignorance is bliss. I did damage to the checkbook and quickly ran away.

I don’t know about that. I started out with fedoras in the hat section 6 years ago. Kept peeking into the outerwear till it finally sucked me in. The crazies $$$$ are definitely in the outerwear by far and pretty damn hard to escape.

Thanks! Like @Yamahana, I started the forum in the Hats section. Some 100+ hats later that stigma is long gone.

Thanks! I definitely need to trim the jacket (and hat) collection down, I just need to garner the willpower to let some stuff go. First jacket will probably be a black Kehoe cafe racer. I have a Cal and a HD Sportster that I'll be keeping.

After acquiring an Aero wool and leather combo I've really come to appreciate this style. The wool panels were provided by Trujillo, one of the few producers of genuine Chimayo weaving. The combo of white/cream horsehide and Chimayo wool sewn by Electric Leather Studio was too good to pass up.

You're selling jackets to fund your next cowboy hat purchase! ;)

Amen, brother! After lurking in the Outerwear section for about a year I took the plunge. Now I have a collection of leather jackets, boots, selvedge denim...
