That’s quite an amazing jacket!
If money wasn’t an object, I’d buy one of these McCoys…

Got this Harley Davidson patched cafe style jacket yesterday, beautiful leather very much like my Schott Naked cowhide in weight and feel. Too small for me so it’s a catch and release. It measures like a 46-48 But man I like this one.

**Update: While this jacket does not have any tags to confirm, after searching I can say with some high confidence this is a Walter Dyer. If not his, a perfect copy complete with that Dyer quality leather. I guess that is why the leather is so good on this one.

I also snagged the matching 13 button front wool crackerjacks.

I’ve wanted a pair of these^ for ever. The newer versions are a rigid gabardine, while these older ones are melton?….certainly a thicker wool. Not sure I’ll ever wear them but for $18 I figured why not.
They don’t appear in my size too often.

I'm waiting for wabash vest and fatigue pants, both are cheap version even from local standard, the vest would need some modification to replace its plastic buttons with jeans buttons, the pants hopefully would have a more straight legged fatigue pants look than my recent sashiko fatigue that turned slimfit post wash.

Hope you showcase the details of this one in the Peacoat thread, Tony.
Sure looks like a nice one.
The feel of a nice fitting vintage Peacoat is like no other.
As a former Jarhead, i yield to that of the Navy their Peacoat.

Please more details
Seller listed it as 60s Sears Hercules but Marc pointed out the leather label is late 40s and Terry concurs

Ton had the same model

Leather is rigid and somewhat dry but seen very little use. Almost no crease and grain showing. Lining is torn at the cuff. Body lining is good. Label is almost gone.

I've got this cross zip incoming.

Bought on a whim off eBay of course. It's a fashion jacket which I could say more about in due course, but for now I'm intrigued as it looks like decent leather from the seller photos. Of which this is one.

e: multiple edits because I can't do internets

Well, my crosszip finally arrived. And I genuinely could not be more delighted. No fit pics for now because I'm in a huge rush but here's some straight out of the packaging.

It's "only" a fashion jacket but it's superb. Heavy cowhide, chunky blacked-out hardware with a two way zip, quilted lining, stripped-down fuss free look, and it's essentially brand new.

The sleeve zips seem never to have been zipped up, I can still feel the tension in the elastic holding the shoulder gussets in, next to no sleeve creasing. Astonishing.

And it fits. It really fits. I was fearful it would be a little small but it's perfect.

Happy New Year, me!
