I have this Schott Per 2 on the way in from Johnson Leathers. The jacket is super thick steerhide and very comfortable in an XL which will allow for layered riding. The sleeves were unfortunately way too long at 27.5" and I normally go for 25" so even though it was not a problem on the bike they still looked "wadded up" even when riding. I contacted Damon who was extremely helpful making sure to taper the sleeves down so the bottom of the sleeve was similar to the opening at 27.5". He also replaced the piece of Tin buckle with a solid brass buckle. Now I realize Schott is not anywhere close to LW or Aero but I think this is going to work out well because the jacket doesn't ride up and is not so tight around the waist so comfort leads to a better riding experience; at least for me it does.
Damon made the first 2 shots here before shipping it out today. Personally I think JL did a damn good job of shortening these sleeves and the buckle looks a lot better than the original Schott buckle.

Here's a shot on the bike and not a good photo but one can get a good idea of how the sleeves bunched up.
That looks so good.Himel Avro I ordered is done, just waiting for shipping confirmation. Can't wait!
I had a bad U.K. to US customs experience. Which was totally my friend and mys own faults ha. I ordered some liquor from a U.K. store which can’t be shipped here, so I had it shipped to him. He then tried to sneak it through and it did not make it. It now sits on a shelf at his house in case I ever make it to visit.
Well this came in a couple of weeks back and even though it's not a high end Schott but the idea is perfect for comfortable riding. I have gone riding a few days over the last few weeks and it really feels good. The leather is thick and wind proof so not so bad. Photos are crap as the wife is out of town and could not help.

Guys, what do you think about this jacket?.
Perhaps seems a little bit weird at a first glance but I think it's a masterpiece without similar competitors (leather + shearling + nylon) out there.

Do you know if/when Belstaff makes sales on its website?I like it a lot. Looks great & must be warm. Would buy.

, ...They do, and they sometimes have discounts of up to 50%. Best bet is to sign up to their newsletter.
A strictly personal remark: Belstaff made great jackets when they were British owned. After the sale, they continued to make ok stuff, but gradually they added more fashion-oriented styles and compromised on quality. Especially their cow leather is not really worth the money any more.
Only my opinion, of course and based to some extent on the fact that you can get a new Aero for a little more than half the price of a Belstaff.
First impression was, that I didn't like it-too much a fashion jacket.
But on second and third looks I started to like. An interesting fusion of a down vest and a leather jacket, whose combination is difficult to pull off.
It's a nice aesthetique with the waxed nylon (micro fibre) and the reasonably aged lambskin.
Not bad.
