The wait for a Bill Kelso is currently almost a year .... but they get paid in full up front.. at least GW only takes $200
I love the elmc californian. They've become pretty expensive though. Eastman is now asking £1200. I'm not saying that's too expensive, but only a few years back they were a few hundred less. Made me look elsewhere. Field Leathers seems to make a pretty decent halfbelt. The question now is, do I get a resized ELMC Cali
This Schott 538 is my current most wanted. I wish I had it coming, but (sigh) I just had to start a bathroom reno...

Haha yea, but I have plenty of linen already and I doubt many of you care for linen safaris and Gurkhas. The leather is for my travels.Great leather, but were I in your place I'd be posting linen Guayaberas & bush jackets instead. Isn't it routinely 29-30c & over 75% humidity in Curaçao?!

How about a Field Leathers? The stuff he’s doing is definitely top notch and he can make any design you want by the looks of it.The question now is, do I get a resized ELMC Cali or give Bill Kelso's Surrogates a go?
.
Something tells me your changes will become the new standard for Field. I feel they really makes a more coherent design.I love the elmc californian. They've become pretty expensive though. Horsehide?I've just ordered an A2 Memphis Belle from Wested. My first aviation jacket of any kind. Is it odd to feel a little apprehensive?
Horsehide?
Relax man, it’s completely normal. With my first couple jackets I was nervous about the order because I wanted to make sure I got everything exactly right. I went over all of the details repeatedly and sweated every last one right up until the day I had the jackets in hand. As it turned out I didn’t get everything exactly right, and I think that is part of the learning process.I've just ordered an A2 Memphis Belle from Wested. My first aviation jacket of any kind.
