How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I saw that green HB in a video yesterday and damn near fell off my chair.
Theo drives me crazy, too! After my Centinela I thought I'm definitely done with leather jackets forevery....
@ton312 Where did you see the video? Please share the link. thx!

I saw it on Theos FB page but it's probably on IG too.
I paused the video and screen grabbed the green jacket.

Yes, I believe he’ll do custom.

I am unsure on that. The 2 Thedis I ordered through Thurston Bros I could not do a lot of custom options. According to Carrie they don't like to mess around a whole lot with their jacket designs but who knows for sure unless you actually talk to Theodorous. I've been trying to add underarm gussets through Thurston Bros with no avail, but you never know.

I guess @red devil ‘s cow hair grizzly is also a custom made one as far as I can remember

This is a beauty for such an old jacket and I hope it fits you well - either it was barely worn or they did a lot of restoration and putting lots of leather conditioner on it...just my guess as I'm not a vintage leather jacket expert

In this case the jacket just looks to be lightly worn. Will make someone a nice jacket, just too small for me.

Two coming in. I bought this for someone else since it will not fit me in size 40. Nice and shiny new looking from the 50s!

The second one is also Black and shiny new because it is newer! Not sure what will happen with it. May fit, may not. If it doesn't fit will be in my Fall offerings.

Lot of jackets, lot of selling decisions to make.

When first seeing this one, I had hoped it to be a 44/46 as you I’m sure you did. At least you’re gonna make someone happy, it’s a killer jacket!

Could be that Thurston Bros just does not want the hassle? They have always shot down any custom requests I have for a Thedi. I'd go direct to Thedi again but I have a store credit to use with Thurston Bros from last year so I can't go direct on my next one.

I don't think they "dont want the hassle" look at the multiple exacting changes a lot of us ask from Aero that are accepted without issue.

I was looking at doing a custom Padded Thedi CR with sleeve stripes and a few other tweaks. Carrie explained that Theo, the artist that he is, sometimes does his own thing on an order if he thinks its better despite specific requests and the customer can come away disappointed as it isn't exactly what they asked for. I'm guessing that's why they don't allow the freedom they do on an Aero where they know what they can and can't modify and you get exactly what you want.

Makes sense.

My last Thedi came in black with tan stitching and I wanted lighter coloured cuff buttons to match the stitching.

No dice. I received black buttons as that is what Thedi wanted to put on there apparently. It had to be remade due to a sleeve length issue and the remake came with black buttons as well even though Thurston specified lighter coloured buttons a 2nd time.

The Thedi I have on order now to eat up my credit, I left Thedi to decide on stitching colour and button colour. I won't be disappointed that way and I'll just roll with it.

I spoke to the elusive Ciano Farmer this afternoon and my custom StormRider inspired jacket is almost ready. He sent me some pictures:

The jacket was made with his Oshkosh blue denim which is probably the most amazing vivid powder blue I have ever seen. The lining is Mexican Saltillo blanket. It’s just waiting for buttons and zigzag stitching on the front and then it will be headed my way.

I caved in the other day and bought this lightly used, horse hide Colimbo jacket. I said no more leather jacket purchases in 2019 but it went on sale so I felt compelled to buy it since I've been looking at it for a few months now. No one had bought it yet so maybe it was meant to be.

If this was the one on eBay, I was given thought to grabbing that one too. Damn nice buy!

Very good catch and to be honest I was looking at it for a couple of months, too but resisted to buy it as I have enough leather jackets...now I’m glad you bought it and that the jacket is no longer in my EBay watch list (one jacket less in my watch list....). I’m looking forward to fit pics!

Yup, same one but I bought it from the fellas website so it was about $200 CAD cheaper than if I grabbed it from ebay and with the sale I saved about $500 CAD total. It was a bit high priced for me until he knocked the price down on his website sale, then it was around what I felt comfortable paying.

I hope it fits but going by the measurements it should be perfect.
