How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Who knows which company makes the leathers jackets for RRL? Are they made by unknown makers (not like Aero, etc.) in Asia (Bangladesh, India, etc.) where most mall jackets and other fashion brands are made?

When RRL items are made in US, Italy, etc. is normally explicitly stated on the website, when you simply read “imported “ they are very often from China, etc.

I like RRL although sometimes they take the distressing a bit too far for my taste. Don’t own any jacket but a few chinos and shirts and they are well made.

Yeah I wouldn't pay that for it...It will end up knocked off on Ali Express in one month and probably be cut and made by the same group that made the rrl piece.

The prices are up there with the most expensive repro makers but let’s not forget that all the distressing takes time and skills to be done properly. A distressed jacket has got to cost more to be produced.

Lol! Never seen that though... they must make the local workers... ehm... disappear after each season :D

I do like many RRL jackets ... they are pricy but seem to be well made (not handled one) and have some very different styles

I briefly owned one for about 6mths. Purchased it online from RRL, button up style very similar to an aero premier work coat. In photos, it “looked” like great leather but I was super dissapointed in person. Stiff, dry, matte feeling leather. Like the distressed finish was painted on and then super duty topcoated over. Lexol, pecards, etc all had no effect. Tried living with it but it never improved with wear so I passed it on. Construction was excellent though so at least there’s that. Just my experience but it turned me off from the brand. I think a large portion of RRL sales are online only so they make their products to photograph well but reality in hand might be different.

I can second this. I've had the exact same experience with RRL though I can't say that the jackets didn't seem like quality garments or anything, but the leather just wasn't up to par with I dunno, pretty much anything we're discussing here. It was still heavyweight and the materials were definitely high grade and I've no doubt the jacket would've lasted a long time, but the impression you get from the photos just doesn't translate well (if at all) IRL.

I mean, it's still darn impressive if you haven't handled anything else but...

Looks incredible! Are you pleased with the fit ? It looks perfect

Thanks! I really like the fit, I am super happy with it. And I was worrying a lot before I received it with lots of people here saying that it’s super v-shaped that it would feel too big in the chest. I don’t think it does. I mean, it is roomy but that’s how it’s supposed to fit as far as I know.

Super stoked on this incoming jacket. A late 60's (I believe) labeled Harley two pocket cafe in an uber rare size 46 - all hardware original/functional and inner lining is mint. Besides getting a nice early one pocket Harley Sportster jacket, this Harley model has been top on my list. Dierks Bentley wore one of these years ago and the leather on his jacket obtained a phenomenal marbling/patina effect. This one seems to have just begun it's patina journey, and I hope to finish it. Fit pics to come once it arrives.

I ordered a Levi's brown buffalo leather trucker jacket -- can't wait!

The mailman just delivered the jacket...I took a pic of it outside to capture the cool grain of the buffalo hide, which is surprisingly thick. Plus, it has a nice heft to it, which was immediately evident upon handling the parcel .

Dig the jacket but I think Dierk's took some rubbing alcohol / acetone to that one! Just seems a bit excessive "patina". I also picked up a HD that should arrive sometime this week. Some surprisingly good jacket finds lately considering its summer.

You might be right, didn't cross my mind that it could be artificial - perhaps done by his stylist? The guy definitely appreciates vintage leathers - in his music video "Black", he's sportin' a one pocket Harley Sportster jacket.

Nice moto jacket btw!

Decided to finally take a gamble on this vintage All Weather horsehide half-belt. I realize the painted backside may not be for everyone, but it's there, and I can live with it. I've been after this particular style for awhile - always reminds me of Snake Plissken's jacket. Might toss this one up in the classifieds if the arms wind up being too short on me.
