I did request the heaviest steer and Carrie/Aero delivered. It is definitely the weight of Lost World's 4 oz + chrome tanned.

Well now I've no choice but to have that jean jacket made from it. That same 4 oz + steer. That'd make a good jacket.

The leather is thick and smells great. As expected, new, it is a little stiffer than horse but as others have observed slightly more spongy to start. Now I see how cxl horse and steer can be mistaken for the other.

It was handymike’s photos that were a real deciding factor in how well it ages. And I believe handymike described the slightly “sponge” texture that really convinced me.
Thanks to all!!! Takes a whole community worth of experience to hit the target unknown.

My Eastman B-6 in progress...glad I ordered before the price rise. Crikey - £849 to £1049 in a week! :O

This is a regular size 46 which Rob had made for me so I could get the body and sleeve lengths correct for the final jacket. Flip flops are optional of course!

The sheepskin is terrific - I particularly love the 1/4 inch shearling which should be very lightweight and more wearable than Aero’s which I always thought was a tad too thick. The final jacket a hould be with me soon...exciting!
