How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Wanted to share this here as it just arrived and I'm honestly floored how cool these trousers are!

They've been listed for quite a while on a Germany-based eBay store that's got like 10 million leather pants and while all the other are like 30-50 Euro's, these were sitting at the top at over 100 EUR for quite a while. I could tell immediately these pants looked better than the rest but the junk photos & even worse, generic description, wasn't telling me much so I figured I'd just take my chance and pulled the trigger.

So this is a perfect example of what I've been saying all along, that there are many more options out there that we don't know about because these are a work of art! Details, construction, leather... Just masterclass piece! Especially leather as it's freaking gorgeous! Full of character all over. Not to mention heavy.

I found out that they're made by a leather shop in Germany called Stark aus Leder and you can check out their work here, if you're interested; https://www.facebook.com/starkausleder
Anyone in love with leather ought to be, though.

Anyway, few photos of these awesome trousers!

Definitely cool pants and I am sure you will wear them well. For me with my short legs and age, I do not feel comfortable wearing leather pants now that I have retired from riding. In fact, I going to list my Aero leather riding trousers today.

Update on one of my favorite topics, "things that went wrong and how they were dealt with":

The Aero Orig. Herc. in black Badalassi arrived last week. A beautiful jacket in a stunning hide, expertly executed by Julie Leitch. Unfortunately it had fit issues, so I had to send it back.
Now, this is a frustrating situation, both for the buyer (me) AND for a small family business. I want to say that not only have I been sorted out promptly and forthcomingly. The jacket is already in production again too, so all I will have lost is 1-2 weeks and some expenses.

Since it has come up a few timed in the last months: It´s NOT about making zero mistakes. We all make them. It´s how you deal with them. Once again - as always in the past - Aero really has proven to be a "no worries" operation highly recommended to everybody who likes their styles.

P.S.: Aero now (test?) stocks YKK zippers. I will have them on the OG Hercules.

Hi Tom71, What was wrong with Hercules? Was it too big too small or other flaws? I just saw this and I sent Holly an email about this jacket and I might scoop it up. Haha. I have never had an original Hercules repro or Badalassi leather so I thought I could get some value out of this and everyone wins. Thanks! Tom

If it's your size, by all means grab it up when it becomes available. It's a great jacket, just too big in the P2P for me. Let me know if you need details on the specs. Aero/Julie did a great job on this! You may end up getting the jacket before I receive the remake, as I will be traveling for two weeks and have asked Aero to hold back dispatch until I return.

I think the whole episode was just an example of sloppy communication. I have had 12,13 Aero´s over the years, so perhaps buyer and seller have been a little careless with discussing the details of this pattern.
Doesn't matter now as Aero have dealt with it the way I describe.

Thanks man!

I am not sure about Aero's 30s pattern block (thurston bro sizing) but I am familiar with their 50's pattern block. I usually take size 40 in that, which means P2P 24" plus or minus 0.5". I have size 40 jackets in that range. If you ordered size 42 I would also try it out at their discounted sale page price of course. Haha. For long time I suspected that Aero 50s pattern size 40 is same as 42, but machinist tighten it a bit for the 40 and not so for the 42. If you ordered a 42 it would actually work out better for me, academically speaking. There is a big jump from 38 to 40 in this pattern block, P2P goes from 22.5" plus minus 0.5" to 24" plus minus 0.5", but the damn neck hole on the 38 is always too small. Even the 40 does not have big enough neck holes sometimes.

I just received this Vanson Ike. I hadn't handled a Vanson yet so I bought it primarily to see what it's about. It's a much nicer jacket than expected. I was expecting something placticy but the leather is actually quite nice. Too bad it's not my size.

A lovely jacket. And despite being fairly boxy and short it’s a great pattern. A reddish tan horsehide Ike was one of my first casual jacket purchases (I’d previously got a vanson CSRX for motorbike riding), just gets better every year…

I just bought this red Lewis Leathers Lightning. Probably from the 90s

Unusual having the LL patch in a different coloured leather - I thought they always matched? At one point they moved their patches to the top of the left sleeve for a while (I thought in the 1990’s? Or maybe the 1980’s) before moving it back to the chest again after a few years…

Interesting… never seen non-matching LL patch before, learn something every day! :) The all lightening hardware certainly looks right (for later post Clix main zip period anyway).

In my quest for the perfect 42 black CR that fits me how I like, I just pulled the trigger on this one. Im assuming it's going to be too small in hopes that it actually fits! Seller says its black, but Ive also got an odd feeling this one is chocolate brown.

it's going to fit you perfect. I've got same one in 42. Killer jacket. I liked it so much I got a 641xx from Japan in black to match, although that one is a little bit shorter. Will definitely be tshirt only though, but surprising how much give those gussets got. Very comfortable. Pretty much same fit as my Enfield will be for you ;)
