How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

^^ Interesting, something I had never known

Here is the LaBrea:

You can see that the right side (when looking at pic) is a double female snap, it can be snapped in the position it currently is, or when shutting the jacket it can be snaped to the male snap that is visible at the junction of the two collar points (left side)

The one on the left is a regular snap, which can be snapped as it is in the first pic, but it can also be snapped inside of the jacket on the silver snap visible on the upper right hand side lapel visible on pic 2.

The LW LT/A has the same setup but it has double female snaps on both sides of the lapel, just like the Himel:
(sorry no close up pics o that one yet, but you can see the snaps in the fit pic)
You can also see the same male snap on the inside of the neck, it is just visible at the junction between my T shirt and the collar V on the right side.

Honestly, it looks kinda cool to have these double female snaps, but in real life i have to say they are pretty impractical to use, i have rarely bothered doing the double snap thing...

It's one of the Leathertogs unique details i really appreciate.

Hey all, looking for some background on these new pieces I just picked up yesterday. I have never been into military gear for a variety of reasons. The most I ever had were a few pairs of “combat” or dress boots growing up a working class punk kid. Also one of the reasons the military and I have an uneasy relationship ha. But all that aside I’ve over the last month or two developed an appreciation for the utilitarian aspects of military gear. So I swung by the local Army/Navy and picked up these 3 things. I got them for a great price and I also know they aren’t vintage or particularly valuable pieces. Having said that as a brand new military gear guy, like brand new I don’t really know anything about these. Other than I really like them, they do their job, and they fit. The Navy jacket is extremely warm and also has a neat feature in the sleeves. It has another sleeve opening under the sleeve to block wind.

That Blue N-1 jacket is awesome! I’ve been wearing mine (a70s civvy version) all Fall/Winter
Thanks. I had heard that name plenty but wasn’t sure if this was actually one. I know things change names or styles all the time. So far I love it. It’s incredibly warm for how thin it is. Which doesn’t mean it’s thin at all it’s very nice and heft just seems to be even warmer than one would think. Any idea on its age or relative value? Here’s a the tag on it. As I said I don’t think any of it is all that old at all or really worthy that much so not expecting anything crazy. Just being brand spanking new to the military side of collecting I literally just don’t know.

This STF Bootlegger size 42 in CXL Horsehide came from a successful TFL trade for a well broken in regular size 40 HWM in the same hide and color. The waist straps are loose. View attachment 303063 View attachment 303064 View attachment 303065
The STF BL is a very sung me on me but not constricting. The first time I been without an HWM in twenty years, wanted to try something different. I had a regular cut size 44 bootlegger that I sold after years of use due to the large on me sizing.

That looks fantastic on you. Beautiful fit , the sizing is just right.

Himel Avro landed last night, the grain is incredible. Was able to get an old stock buckle which looks terrific. Can't wait to break it in!

Another Grail jacket! I know, another Grail jacket. How many could one person have need of? Isn't there only one Grail?

I have pursued these vintage short wool half-belts with limited success. They are much harder to find than a Vintage leather jacket. This Hercules is late 30s.

These wool jackets do look cool. How do they compare to wearing vintage leather. BTY I can not afford another acquisition computation

they fit very much like a tailored half-belt, shorter. My Sportclad fits like that. Not sure how this will fit. Even the reproductions of these jackets are hard to find. I've been down that road with less success.

The Sportclad The Red, White and Beauty!
