Just an ebay find...
Can’t wait to see pics of yours! I have to say the Connolly steerhide is gorgeous stuff. Maybe your epaulet veg tan will beat it in time, but I really wish this leather were available from current makers.
That fits absolutely perfect. This one would be a very good candidate for a “one jacket only” type of collection. Covers all bases IMO. Well done.Just an ebay find...

Here is the Highwayman!
Holly says it dates around 1984-1985, possibly made by Ken himself...

All in all, I'm really impressed. Probably the nicest Aero I've handled. The Connolly steerhide is perfect for this jacket IMHO.

Thank you. I use a DSLR on self timer. I shoot a lot of them and crop out my awful expressions. For the jacket shots, I use a worklight pointed at the corner of my living-room so the wall/ ceiling are making reflections. Set the camera to auto white balance, stand on a ladder and go...nobody else is home of course.That's a beautiful hwm @handymike! And your photos are wonderful too, really professional quality. Makes me more ashamed than ever with my feeble smartphone pics. What's your set up?
@handymike
Im hoping for the best with that one.. its taking its sweet time to get here.. any one familiar with Pitney Bowes Shipping? ( I know they make mailing machines but I didn't know they delivered it too)

WOW! Really cool jacket. You wear it well. I should've taken a closer look at that auction listing because the measurements are spot-on for me. But I'm glad a fellow Lounger snagged it!Fit pics:

Incoming: 1960s Langlitz Police Cascade, unlined. If it fits, I may take it to Langlitz and have a liner put in.
Yeah, me too, especially for a jacket of this vintage and design. Ive never seen a Langlitz police jacket in this particular design before. I got it for a good price so if it fits, I may just use it as my main riding jacket.This is awesome. I really dig the Cascade design. Didn't know police departments used them. I'd suggest wearing it sans lining first to see how you like it. I'm personally kind of a stickler for originality when it comes to vintage pieces.
Normally I don’t care for pins but that pin is cool as Hell. I’d do it.Here’s a question for you all:
How do you feel about pins in leather jackets?
As much as I feel about my new highwayman, the Jacketeer in me wonders if I put two small holes in the jacket will it decrease the resale value?
