How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

thanks, gamma .. i've always really dug the minimalism of this HD style. i foresee it seeing a lot of action this summer ; )
LOVE that bates you grabbed! fit looks really good to me. re-stiff leather, i understand that lexol is highly regarded as it penetrates well.

The minimalist style makes your HD very appealing. And it’s why I snagged this Bates racing shirt. No pockets and unlined—real minimalist!

It’s super dry and may need at least two coats of something to make it supple and bring it back to life. Right now it’s like wearing cardboard.

This Real McCoys take on the Lee Storm Rider should be in my hands tomorrow. I have very high hopes for this one, and I don’t think I will be disappointed. One thing I am particularly happy with is that RMC kept the jacket boxy and on the shorter side unlike some of the other repros.

It would be interesting to compare this alongside current Lee. I'm toying with the idea, currently, of buying my first denim jacket in the guts of two decades, but soi many of the current versions of the classic styles are cut longer enough to distort the look of the pattern imo...

What does this jacket look like with a regular collar?

Would be similar to this Thedi in leather/canvas posted on the previous page except in a different colour and front pocket configuration.

This is the same pattern as the shawl collar but with a regular type collar.

Thanks. I really like the shawl collar on this style of jacket, but you already have one! Maybe I like the Shawl because I don't have one. Been after a vintage jacket in this style, but they are difficult to find in a size I can wear. They were very popular in suede in the 20s/30s.

I really like this style also and I may still do it in a shawl collar variation. Just not %100 sure yet.

I completely agree Edward. As a matter of fact Lee offers a Storm Rider on the European market that appears to be much closer to the original jacket than what is available here in the states:

It looks good in the photo but I bet that the back length has been increased to work with lower rise jeans.

Please let us know how leather honey works! I am wondering what to use on the couple of vintage jackets I just got. Mine are not as stiff as that. ‘ Bates. There are so many opinions on this stuff. I’ve heard just plain lanolin works well. I’d like to avoid chemicals or stuff that you always have to reapply. For example I’m not sure about Lexie, I seem to remember there are drawbacks to using that but I can’t really remember and this may not be the case.

Vanson Gambler part duex arrived today. I’m really pleased with it! The pattern has been refined and this batch of z-150 really suits the style. I’m going to dig up my old gambler thread this weekend when I can get some decent pics. I was a bit concerned about Vanson of late, not anymore.
