How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

My latest:

Langlitz Cascade, heavy cow.

This is a 2016 jacket, pretty much unworn, like new condition. Probably one of the last of the heavy cowhide jackets as it's my understanding Langlitz stopped offering the heavy stuff recently. I was thinking about getting a Cascade from Langlitz when I'm in Portland next month, but this came up on ebay and the price was too good to pass up.

It fits like a glove. The pockets are leather lined. I wanted one with the pin stripes on the back, but this is otherwise exactly what I would have specced for a custom order.

Auction pics for now, fit pics when I can.

This probably does it for me for the year.

Beautiful, my fav style from them but I'm too not sure it's the heaviest cow. I've seen photos of it, it looks different. It definitely varied over the years of course and this jacket certainly looks heavier than the one I had, which was mid weight cowhide but some of those extra heavy ones look... Well, you can't really mistake them for anything else.

Here's one tho I've seen jackets that appeared even heavier.

It's a perfect jacket in any case. Nothing beats Langlitz.

Right, I remember that jacket! I was considering buying that one, but it went higher than I was prepared to go. This one is probably not so heavy as that one.

The seller said that it was heavy, and it is, but I'm not sure if it's Langlitz Heavy or not. It might be what they call midweight. Whatever, it satisfies me.

Update: actual weight is 6 lbs. Which I think is ideal.

Yes, they service a diverse customer base, from police to bikers to rock stars to leather daddies.

I've never owned a pigskin until now. I have two other Seattle Woolen jackets in horsehide. This looks to be a female jacket, but measurements were near a size 42 men's. Didn't buy it to wear anyway. I'll post more info when I have it in hand.

The short belt definitely makes it look feminine. I have seen pig skin on gloves but never on jackets

I've seen very few vintage jackets in pig skin. I have a vintage catalog from the 30s that list several pig skin garments. I'll include some of those pages when I do a review. To me, as a collector, it is interesting. I like the label. Was not too expensive. Make a nice historic piece.

Oh yeah, they almost seem to be an official... BLUF crowd maker. Can't figure out why, though. Is it the quilted bits? 12 zippers on one jacket? Did they actually even make stuff for the police? Maybe it would've been Cal, if they didn't fall off the radar until recently.
But yeah, their stuff definitely looks most... hard core. I guess it's a lingerie of a sort for some. though Vanson and others do have a few models that aren't far off.

You have to see how it ages. It's beautiful leather. As good as anything anyone puts out there.

No doubt it is. I wasn’t referring to Langlitz specifically. One day I will own one and a few are on my watch list.

Phew, awesome jacket with very short sleeves. Though I think I just created another jacket “need”.

I'm just going to leave this here to Enable someone who wears a 42 Short.

I just got one of these and it’s a great jacket but 23” p2p and 21” back length...wow... talking about boxy cuts (also 21” sleeves? I’m 5’7” short and my arms are not particularly long plus I like short sleeves and couldn’t do with anything less than 23.5”)
