Hi Chaps,

Just received my Aero ‘Sample Horsehide’ today and started to wonder how many people have got infected with the the A2 bug?

I seem to have a bad case at the moment and am enjoying it all the way!

I thought if I gave a list in order of purchase of my A2s, would anyone else do the same?

So I can console myself that it’s not just me!

If you have more jackets than you can wear then you have too many. If that is the case then, when you are ready to sell some, someone like me will be waiting to buy them for half of what you paid for them. Thanks!

I'm now up to 3...
-Willis & Geiger, horse, kinda hazelnut brown w/grey bemberg lining & a nice pointy standup collar like military dress shirts
(A seal horse Willis A-2 just went for $380 on eBay - I got mine for $149 earlier this month!! lol)
-Cockpit, horse, dark russet, given the washer/dryer treatment to fit better (it worked), inside pocket jerry-rigged off an old khaki shirt
-Schott, 1987 contract, cow (maybe steer? - hide very similar in weight & feel to my Willis), choccy brown (on long term loan to my dad)

I keep jonesing for a prewar design, seeing as I'm a prewar kinda guy.

One horsehide historical russet from Flight Suits
One goat sealbrown from Cooper
One steer sealbrown from ??? cant remember anymore
One - the very first one - lamb from Avirex - with pinup etc.
A very bad reproduction, year, year I know - but hey, they were a hit back then in the 80's, and to me, they started the whole A2-thing

and then there is the good ol' IRVIN from AL:)

About 25 A-2's, a mix of originals and repro's (most high end and a few inexpensive ones).

I guess I'll count my Cooper ANJ-3 in here too. It's cool, but I'm on the A-2 kick lately. I wear the Willis every chance I get 'cause it looks and feels so g.d. good, and soon it'll be too hot to wear it.

Just wandered into the lounge for the 1st time

Feels like the Atheneaum....

I've been wearing/collecting vintage clothing for over 30 years now, have a few A2s,G1s, B3s, Irvins & other militaria as I've owned a 1943 Willys jeep for nearly 30 years & been on many of the D-Day memorial Normandy tours where an Irvin comes in very handy, weather always seems to be bad there in June.
Anyway, I'll tot them up sometime , but for all the Irvin collectors out there, I've just seen this e-bay UK item which not only hits Irvin collectors but jackets & hats as well -

Let's see...

G&B Historic HH mahogany A-2
G&B M422-A (Custom leather collar & epps)
G&B M422-A (Mouton collar)
Bradley Associates cowhide A-2
(2) Avirex Mil-Spec goatskin G-2 (Very nice for Avirex)

I just returned a Eastman house A-2 from Aero's sale page... The fit and pocket placement was kind of funky, and the HH was thinner than I expected. Overall quality was great. :)
