Some questions for Fedora Lounge Bartenders:

How did it happen? Did you volunteer, or was it offered to you?

ANSWER: Actually, I was finally tall enough to pass the sigh "You must be this tall to go on this ride" A very important event in my life.

When did you become a Bartender?

ANSWER: See above.

Why did you accept the position?

ANSWER: Well, it was peer pressure. I thought they said "beer" pressure, but I wasn't too disappointed.

If you could do it all over again, would you?

ANSWER: Once you have gone over to the "Dark Side", there is no coming back.

What is the hardest part of your job?

ANSWER: This post is kinda obvious, no? :p

I think it's high time to start the campaign to elect Marc Chevalier as bartender.
Bartending would be unbefitting MC's position as the star of TFL. You wouldn't ask Michael Jordan to become a referee.;)

Wow....thought this was a community of like minded individuals, and not a sports team.

In many ways, the FL is like a sports team.

There's teamwork, team spirit, play-by-plays, learning curves, competitiveness, occasional (verbal) fights and injuries, wins, losses, and end-of-season banquets (at the QM).

Be my guest. Heck, I probably lifted it from this 1935 Esquire mag guy:

I take exception....

Thanks very much, but what I wrote above is true. I've no desire to be a bartender. Frankly, I'd make a bad one. Too controversial, too loudly opinionated, etc. Think Cliff in the Cheers sitcom, but drunk.

Lots of Loungers would agree with me on this. (Especially the more conservative ones. ;))

As the Village Conservative :D I would have to disagree. I don't find you controversial, too loudly opinionated, etc. ;) If anything you're consistent and someone I can disagree with philosophically and on an intellectual level without resorting to name calling.

Likewise ... I could have easily written that about you, except that I'd label myself as "the Village Moderate with bits and pieces from both sides."
