How about that vintage western look

Waiting for the day that Dinerman finds a suit that belonged to a fat cowboy. :D

I picked this up for $20 at a Santa Fe thrift store. Trying to convince my daughter that it is really "cool" and she should wear it.

Regarding western belts...

I've always thought that 'ranger' belts and buckles looked more appropriate with vintage western wear than the big rodeo style buckles. Anybody else wear them? Here's mine - a forged iron and silver Mexican Charro buckle from the mid to late 19th c.:

Ranger belts are the best and is what the vast majority of non-rodeo cowboys wear in Texas. If you actually ride a bull or horse for competition, the big belt buckles are fine. If you don't, why? As for clothes, I've moved to exclusively pearl snap shirts, mostly short sleeved, and I love them, though nothing ostentatious. Very plain and understated. Though I like them and that's good enough, the fact that it irritates my teenage kids for some reason is just a bonus. Jeans or shorts depending on the weather. If jeans, only boots.
