Wow. This is the first I've read through all this, and i don't know where to start.
Nashoba, your home is lovely. I'd be honked off about that dead landscaping. What did they plant for grass? Skunk cabbage? lol Will they drag their sorry butts out to redo it? I'm betting no. Weenies.
For Gary Crumbrine: Nashoba is a long-time, well loved and respected member here. If she hadn't already replied to your post so well, I would have deleted it. We do not want to see the words "off the reservation" used here again. Whether you intended that phrase to be so or not, it was highly, personally offensive.
And Nashoba, I think it is 100% clear that the HOA representative is using an old trick. Sort of like salespeople use The Ben Franklin Close, this person has invoked The People Are Talking About You Misdirection. I used to have a boss who did this often. "People here have complained to me about your..." It's invented to give the person with something unpleasant to say a rock to hide behind. "If I say other people are complaining, it won't sound like it's just me..." It's horse apples.
