Now THATS a Homburg!! I have got to get one like that. That bowler curl on the brim is amazing. Is your Homburg from the early 30's?

Thanks! I got another one, a grey Knox Superfine Homburg.. I could not guestimate the age of this hat, other forum members are welcome to give it a try..

That's a lovely homburg! I can't say I approve of the side dents, but to each his own. ;) I wear a homburg daily and like them to be more rigid (able to withstand any object that may come near my dear head). You wear it very well.

How much do I admire that hat. I have a homburg but the brim curls quite markedly at the sides. I note that your brim is almost flat. Is there a way of "flattening" the brim on a homburg?

I'm going to have an old western hat converted into a homburg style!! It might not work out in the end but the hat was cheap enough for me to not mind messing it up, or ending up with an interesting hat!!!

Mayser Homburg

Mayser Homburg, brown, size 60cm. This one is really nice with beautiful liner. I am thinking mid 1950s maybe a bit older. Another one from Kramer of Frankfurt / Main.

I got my Cellini Homburg today.
IMG_0399.jpg

It was a little misshapen and dusty, but that was cleaned up by a brush and steam.

Still working on the brim to get it to smile like a homburg should. This will definitely be my formal hat.

Yeps, Very nice Homburg! What about the Barbisio size tag? I think Besdor (Steve) from Bencraft Hats might be able to help with this one.

Thanks. Here is the size tag. I forgot about this when I was loading it up.

The tag under the sweat also says Barbisio on it, but I can't get a good picture.

Very interesting. I wonder what the Cellini - Barbisio connection is? As far as I know Barbisio was out of Italy. Does the other Barbisio tag have any additional information?
