Got this postcard off eBay a few weeks ago. Issued in "The Star Series" by G. D. & D., London, but "Printed in Bavaria".

His Majesty really appreciated a tall crown on his hat!

What maker? Any guesses as to its age?

It was manufactured in France sometime between the wars and I don't know who the manufacturer was. rlk purchased the lot of a dozen old french hats and this was among them. He was generous to sell it to me.

I got a couple of those from him too. One is very like your black one. Tremendous felt but a lot of taper when creased. Interesting old hats.

I believe this is a actual Möckel Homburg from the time period of Edward. By the way this hat is in the Bad Homburg Hat museum. I sure would like to find a Möckel Homburg some day.

I believe this is a actual Möckel Homburg from the time period of Edward. By the way this hat is in the Bad Homburg Hat museum. I sure would like to find a Möckel Homburg some day.

Here's my new Adam Homburg, this is an especially old one, unreeded sweatband etc. A larger brim than on the Stetson Vita-Felt one I have, suits me better, might add this into my regular rotation.

Well, I like it throughout, front pinch, brim width, colour, the whole shebang. I specifically believe the wider brim is the feature that carries the day!

Habig Homburg

This Habig Homburg doesn't have a paper label (or I couldn't find it) but I am thinking late 50s early 60s. It is in perfect condition.
